Laurel Hart, ND, DHP, CNHP

Laurel has been working towards her dream of opening a health and wellness store and clinical practice since 2014. She retired from Clinical Social Work practice where she was a Psychotherapist in Private Practice for 20+ years. Her own health challenges, and the struggles of others around her, led her on a journey to find out what really defines and supports actual health. In 2017, she formed Hart Healthy Consulting, LLC-a health, and wellness consulting business.

After moving the practice to the westside of Evansville in 2019, she began to map out what it was she really wanted to do in her business. She found a lack of education about the Foundations of Health (Food, Water, Exercise, Spiritual, Mental and Emotional Health, and our interaction with the Environment) and a lack of clean and effective nutritional supplements in the area. So, she began planning to open a Health and Wellness practice with several practitioners and professionally curated supplements and holistic retail for clients and customers to enjoy.

The Time Is Now

In August 2022, Laurel moved Westside Natural Health to 2003 W. Franklin Street, Evansville, Indiana and her vision was born. She now has the dream team assembled and believes that they are called to educate clients and customers about how to improve their health, overcome health challenges, and reach or exceed their health goals.

In addition to a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, and an MSW from the University of Southern Indiana, she has earned many certificates from Trinity School of Natural Health, including a designation as a Doctor of Naturopathy.

Additionally, she has trained in digestive health with the Food Enzyme Institute. She has been certified as a Shape ReClaimed ® Practitioner and has recently begun the Advanced Clinical Training modules for Nutrition Response Testing ® through Ulan Nutritional Systems.

When she is not “geeking out” on all thing’s natural health, she is reading and advising others about issues of health freedom. For fun, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their grown sons, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter, friends, and church family. She loves to travel, cook fun, healthy recipes, and hang out in her backyard. She loves people and watching them learn, overcome obstacles, and thrive!

Kelsea Parker

Social Media Manager

Hi! I’m Kelsea Parker, the Social Media Content Creator here at Westside Natural Health. With a background in visual arts and a passion for holistic living, I feel incredibly grateful to combine creativity with a purpose I truly believe in.I was raised in a home that gradually transitioned toward a more natural and holistic lifestyle. As my family began learning about naturopathic and herbal medicine, we discovered how powerful natural healing can be—and how beautifully our bodies are designed to heal when given the right support. I believe God has provided us with so many natural resources, and it’s a joy to be part of a team that celebrates and shares this knowledge with others. Now, as a momma to the most precious baby boy, it’s even more important to me to live intentionally. I’m proud to have the tools and understanding to give him a foundation of wellness through whole foods, natural remedies, and mindful living. When I’m not creating content or sharing the heart of our practice online, you’ll likely find me outside soaking up the sun with my son, reading a good book, thrifting, or sipping on an iced coffee. I love bringing my creativity into this space and connecting with a community that values health, healing, and the natural rhythms of life.

Sydney Staeffler, TND

Virtual Assistant

Hey there, my name is Sydney! At the young age of 12, I decided I wanted to do things differently than the conventional way of healthcare. I didn’t agree with certain things at the doctor’s office, so that prompted my mom to find alternatives.

Over the course of years, the Lord has guided me to where I am now. Throughout my life, I have been blessed with amazing administrative jobs that have provided me with over 10 years of experience that I brought into my own business, Hire Holistic Virtual Assistants, LLC (Hire Holistic VA’s).

Throughout my administrative jobs, I witnessed holistic practitioners struggling to find help with their business. Even when they did, they were not able to find the time to train the talent and set them up for success. This endless loop caused them to be stuck inside the admin side of their business instead of helping more clients.

As an administrative virtual assistant with background studies in naturopathy from Trinity School of Natural Health, I have the joy of helping Laurel with her day-to-day business projects such as newsletters, bookkeeping, website updates, and anything else that comes up.

I am blessed with a wonderful family! Together, we enjoy the great outdoors by camping, hiking, kayaking, archery, downhill skiing, and taking care of our mini hobby farm. I also have the honor of getting to homeschool my children.
